Fighting Climate Change: Biophilic Environmental Design with Wood

The AIA 2030 Commitment encourages architects and interior designers to design and specify materials with carbon reduction in mind. As wood is the most sustainable and versatile building material available, in this program, we will showcase the benefits of specifying wood to fight climate change. Two active practicing architects based in Shanghai, one with an international large practice and another with his private practice, will share with us their individual experiences through case studies that demonstrate specific benefits of wood for new construction, structures, renovation, and interiors, as well as its ability to improve the biophilic environment of their projects.

This is the second of three AIA seminars on the most sustainable building material sponsored by The American Hardwood Export Council during May and June 2022.
