A Message from our 2019 President: Silas Chiow, AIA

Dear Members and Friends:

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2019!

2018 was a momentous year for AIA Shanghai as our chapter continued to expand over the last year. And thanks to a dynamic team in Beijing, we also witnessed dynamic programming up north. We finished out the year with a record-setting awards banquet- special thanks to our 2018 team and 380 guests!

As we enter 2019 and the 5th year of AIA Shanghai, global economic reports suggest challenges are ahead. Indeed, we will face “New Realities” as China evolves and new environmental and social concerns play a larger role in decision-making. With this in mind, AIA Shanghai will focus its attention on high-value programming that delivers actionable intelligence and tools to help our members thrive in these changing times.

JOIN US as we COLLABORATE with local design communities, EDUCATE our young professionals, and ELEVATE the achievements of women in our field.

2019 is set to be a blockbuster: Bauhaus is celebrating its 100-year Anniversary, and we will punctuate the year by hosting the AIA International Region Conference. Check your mailbox and WeChat for programming announcements as we focus our attention on China’s “New Realities” through innovative programming packed with take-home value.

JOIN US loyal sponsors and dedicated volunteers, as we face “New Realities” with renewed energy and commitment.
